Profile:
One of three Ron Paul-alligned super PACs active during the 2012 GOP presidential primary, Revolution PAC shared a number of donors with Endorse Liberty, its larger cousin, including technology mogul and investor Peter Thiel.
The Illinois-based super PAC made a name with Ron Paul action figures and bumper stickers that mash up the word revolution to reveal “love” spelled backward. Their website says Paul is offering a third option to the left’s “soft socialism” and the right’s “centralized, big-spending warfare state.”
Revolution board members hosted a live webcast during the South Carolina primary that drew 20,000 viewers. The PAC hosted another for the Florida primary.
Despite these attention grabbing moves, the super PAC did not have a major impact on the election, and their preferred candidate lost the Republican party’s nomination contest to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

- One of Revolution’s ads featured a Gulf War Marine veteran and pointed out that Paul “receives more donations from active duty military than all other Republican candidates combined.”
