“During his tenure at Treasury, Secretary Mnuchin has worked tirelessly on behalf of the American people, helping President Trump build a booming economy and leading the monumental economic response to the unprecedented challenge posed by COVID-19. The Administration’s actions before and during the pandemic — such as tax reform, regulatory relief, fairer and more reciprocal trade deals, and the largest economic relief package in U.S. history — positioned the U.S. economy for a strong recovery and rapid return to growth. Secretary Mnuchin has also played a critical role in our national security, implementing economic sanctions against foreign threats to the U.S., identifying and targeting the financial support networks of national security threats, and improving the safeguards of our financial systems.”
