Megan Cattel grew up in Florida and graduated from Fordham University in 2015. She spent four years teaching English in Shanghai, China, while freelancing for local arts and culture outlets. She earned a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School in 2020; while there, she covered immigration for Uptown Radio.
