Kio Herrera most recently interned with CNN’s Investigative Unit, covering government and public health. She started her journalism career as a current events reporter for TIME Magazine’s educational division. Prior to that, she was a Spanish language book editor at Penguin Random House. She earned a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School and a bachelor’s from Fordham University.
